Yuli Nazarov
Yuli V. Nazarov (1960) was born in Siberia, city of Krasnoyarsk. He has been schooled in theoretical physics in famous Landau Institute (Ph. D. 1985). He works on quantum transport (former mesoscopic physics) since emergence of the field in late eighties, and was lucky to make primary and pioneering contributions to many subfields of this broad field that encompasses diverse concepts, ideas and approaches. Beside theoretical research, he has co-authored many experimental advances in collaboration with the groups in Delft and beyond.
His passion for quantum devices has brought him to Delft University of Technology, the Netherlands (since 1993, full professor since 2001). He was one of the co-founders of Kavli Institute of Nanoscience Delft.
Beside active research (about 300 publications and 14,000 citations) he teaches Advanced Quantum Mechanics and Quantum Transport and has co-authored the popular textbooks on the subjects.
